It’s time to think about trimming that tree. Your tree is a reflection of your personality. It should bring you and your family joy. There are so many options to choose from that there’s bound to be one that feels just right in your home. Whether you’re cutting down a fresh one or your evergreen comes out of a box in the attic, decorating the tree can be a big task. Here are a few tips to make it a little less overwhelming.
- Take your time. The tree doesn’t have to be up and decorated all in one day. Spread out the tasks – lights, ornaments, and garland – into different days.
- Pick a theme and stick to it. Even if your theme is eclectic family ornaments, knowing in advance what you’re aiming for, will ensure that you’re happy with the results.
- Make it an event. Invite over friends and family for a tree trimming party. Turn on some music and have some fun with it. It will hardly seem like work at all.
